Poda

Filmed action PODA (2004) consists in real time, uncut recording (miniDV to DVD, color, 19’33”) of the process of peeling off a drawing of a tree made out of raw clay directly on the 7 x 12 m wall of the exhibition room. After being placed, the clay dries up, contracts and falls off the wall, revealing preexisting layers of paint and in some cases even going down to the mortar. For the action, five men with spatulas and ladders were invited to finish the process of peeling off the drawing.
